A Moment Captured using Pinkfresh Studios A Case Of The Blahs by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
This week I had the chance to create a project using the awesome collection,
Pinkfresh Studios A Case Of The Blahs
I love this collection, so many fun embellishments with perfect sayings
and great simple colours & patterns.
I've grabbed photos from the archives,
Mr 13 in his younger years with his Mumma.
My silly attempt at some selfies.

I really wanted to use multiple photos for this layout,
so I have kept the background fairly simple.
Starting with Kraft cardstock, of course,
and then sponging Distress Paints Picket Fence and Ripe Persimmon
through two different stencils.
Using Crafters Workshop Template Arrows and Tim Holtz Layering Stencil,
I have randomly highlighted different spots to pop out past the embellishment clusters.

There was very little patterned paper has been used for this page.
A base piece Awkward used for the photos, matted with black cardstock.
Then using a Kaisercraft die, I have cut the doily from the patterned paper Messy.
The 2 Crafty chipboard title A Moment Captured was painted with Distress Paint Twisted Citron
as a base colour and then finished with Lucky Clover to get a match with the papers.

The 2 Crafty Blobblies were just too cute not to be included.
I have painted them with Distress Pain Hickory Smoke
and then coloured the eyes/mouth with black, white and silver pens.
Making good use of the packaging, I have cut out a white graph journal spot to use on the page.

The die cuts in this collection are so cool!
I have also hand cut a few leaves and flowers from patterned paper to go with the Ephemera.
Most pieces have been mounted on foam tape.
I've painted the word circle with Hickory Smoke.

The third and final cluster in the bottom of the left corner adds some balance to the page.
I love the pop of orange in the journal spot, it coordinates well with the background.
For the finishing touch, I've added a few more leaves and arrow sticker.

That's my page to wrap up another fabulous week.
I've already got another page laid out using this collection.
Thank you for dropping in.
I hope you have a creative weekend and will join us again on Monday.

"RAD", by Amanda H

Hello again,

Today's page is all about this new awesome, radical bright paper from My Minds Eye - Good Vibes collection. There are bright colours, fun designs and some pink shiny foil touches. I love it! Combined with some 2Crafty chipboard and funky stickers, it was perfect for these photos of Olivia being slightly crazy at the beach!

I started this page with the speciality paper, Chill. I loved the bold diagonal stripes, especially the shiny pink foil stripe.

I decided to get the Good Vibes 6x6 paper pad. I love doing this - then I get some of every paper in the range and I often love the smaller designs and how they look on a page.

I chose 3 different papers from the paper pad and stacked them under the photos. (Of course I had to use the donut design!!)

In these close ups you will see how I finished with some cool 2 Crafty chipboard and some stickers.

Firstly, inked with some 2 Crafty Hessian Patches in black and tucked them either side of the photo. I also used a coat of Dimensional Magic on the chipboard.

Then I created two main clusters.

The first was in the top right corner of the photo. Here I combined some of the very cool stickers from the Good Vibes Cardstock Stickers sheet with more 2 Crafty chipboard. I used Leafy Silhouettes, which I heat embossed with Colour Blast Colour Embossing Powder in Blush pink. I also tucked some pink sparkly enamel dots in.

The second cluster in the bottom left of the photo houses the title. For the title I combined some stickers from the Good Vibes Cardstock Stickers sheet, including the word "RAD", which I popped on foam tape. And again another Leafy Silhouette and more pink sparkly enamel dots.

What a great fun range! Thanks for looking!
Amanda

Magical Day with Photoplay Wizard World by Fiona Johnstone

Hello
Sharing another layout created with the fun Photoplay Wizarding World collection! We have quite a few Harry Potter photos, so these papers have been perfect!
Magical Day

I have used layers of the  Photoplay Wizarding World papers over a plain black cardstock background to create this page.  My torn brick wall papers are from an older Reminisce collection and I have combined this with the fussy cut 9 3/4 symbol from one of the papers in the Wizarding World pack.

I have then cut around the train image from the papers and mounted it onto black cardstock which I have also cut around. I've used a 2Crafty chipboard owl to make my own "Hedwig" - I painted him white, added some yellow to his eyes and used a black paint pen to add details.

I have used the Magical Day title from the Wizarding World ephemera pack and a broomstick from my stash. I added a little birdcage in black from 2Crafty to represent the owl cage on my going through the station wall photo.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Family Forever & Always using Bella Blvd Dad Style by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all!
Welcome to the blog on this lovely April morning.
I am starting this month of using the very masculine collection,
Bella Blvd Dad Style.
The photo for this page actually features me for something different.
As well as a few other family members, of course.

Starting with a Kraft cardstock base,
I've used Distress Inks and Tim Holtz Layering Stencils to decorate the background.
The 2 Crafty Date Plate has been covered with gold ink.
I have used Kaisercraft Alpha Sticker Sheet for the date.

I have fussy cut a few elements from the patterned papers.
The clock, time flies and the circles surrounding the clock, form one of the clusters.
I have mounted them with foam tape for dimension.

The second cluster has been created using the Cardstock Sticker Sheet,
a chevron punch and a stolen journal card from a new PinkFresh Studios collection.
There is plenty of doodling, using a black pen, to highlight some of the features.

The 2 Crafty title Family forever& always has been covered with gold ink.
The word stickers are from Cocoa Vanilla Studios.

A simple page this week with gorgeous colors and patterns.
Thanks for dropping by today.
Hop you have a lovely, crafty weekend
and please check back on Monday for Fiona's next project.

"Blessed"

Hi all,

And welcome to April... today I am sharing a fresh bright page with you.
I do love shopping for new products and I instantly fell in love with the Simple Stories - I AM collection. When I saw the new 49 and Market flowers, I knew I could pick up the perfect shade to match the Simple Stories collection.

Here is the page, some close ups and a full product list.

I started with the Loving Life paper - with the striped background and awesome printed
flower design in the corner - it was the perfect base.

I layered by photos on some pink and yellow cardstock, before placing on a panel of the
Simply me paper.

My page was finished with Simple Stories stickers and some 49 and market flowers.

Check out these awesome "Vintage Shades" flowers from 49 and market. The perfect shade of yellow! I also loved the interesting leaves, vines and buds in the pack of flowers, and have used a few on my page.

I have also layered many of the stickers - words, strips, shapes from the I am Sticker pack.

For the title, I used the "Blessed" sticker from the I am Sticker pack, alongside more layers of stickers and another 49 and market flower.

Thanks for looking today!
Amanda.

Adventure at Disneyland with CVS More than Words by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back with my last share using Cocoa Vanilla Studio More than Words.

Adventure at Disneyland
I created my background using Distress Oxide Inks, this was my demo cardstock from my class page last month - I didn't have anything in mind when I did it and it was a bit haphazard but I made it work for this page.  I added a little stamping to tie it all together.

The colours in my background inspired me to use this photo of the Mark Twain riverboat in Disneyland with the gorgeous reflection and sunset in the background.

I've used up the last of my CVS More than Words papers for this page, adding some torn paper layers for texture before embellishing around my photo in three sections, using the ephemera flowers and these beautiful feathers I'd been saving! Then I added some more bits and pieces from the range - the chipboard stickers and flair button.

My title is from a Thickers Sticker packet, I combined this with some older October Afternoon stickers and a cute at symbol from an older Studio Calico set.

Thanks for stopping by
Hope you have enjoyed all the More than Words layouts!

Love This Smile using Cocoa Vanilla Studio More Than Words by Kerryn

Good morning everyone!
Can you believe we are already at the end of March.
Today I have one final page to share with you created using
Cocoa Vanilla Studio More Than Words.
The photos are of another one of my beautiful great-nieces,
a day at Botanic Gardens.

The page started with Kraft cardstock base, Archival Ink and
I've stamped directly onto the cardstock to appear under the paper layers
and then coloured the images using Distress Oxide Inks.

The Die Cut Ephemera was once again one of the stars of the page.
I've layered the flowers using foam tape and created three clusters.
The 2 Crafty Mini Camera has been painted with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint
and then outlined with a gold pen.

The 2 Crafty Heart String Frame has been used to highlight one of the photos,
it was painted with Distress Paint Tumbled Paint and outlined with gold pen.

I have used the 2 Crafty word Smile to create the title,
along with some words from the Sticker Sheet.
I've given the word smile a two-tone finish with Abandoned Coral
and Victorian Velvet Distress Paint.
I've used a gold pen to highlight the split in colours.

The 2 Crafty Ornate Dragonfly has been painted with three Distress Paints,
Abandoned Coral, Victorian Velvet and Mustard Seed.
I've blend the colours with a sponge to give a graduated finish.
To finish off, I have outlined with gold pen.

That's a wrap on my March projects.
I have thoroughly enjoyed creating with this collection.
Thanks for visiting today.
I hope you have a great weekend, with plenty of crafting.
Please check back on Monday for Fiona's next project.

"Hello sunshine", by Amanda

Hi all,

It is nearly Easter... and I could not resist the new Easter range of papers from Photo Play - Easter Blessings Collection. I mean, there are bunnies in hot air balloons!

Add a cute snapchat filter photo of my second daughter and this page was done in no time! I have lots more paper and stickers left after doing this page, so hoping I get some good Easter photos this weekend to team up with this collection.

Here is the page and some close ups...

I started with 3 main papers in the range: Easter Eggs, Easter Basket, and Peeps. Although there are lovely designs on every page, for the two base papers I chose to use the plainer B sides to the papers. I used large panels of these papers and machine stitched them.
I layered more of Easter Basket, and Peeps behind the photo, before using the stickers from the collection to finish the page.
See... bunnies in hot air balloons! So cute!
I layered some stickers near the top of the page, fixing some to the page with foam tape for some dimension.

Then more stickers near the photo and for the title.

And that's my page for today! I do love these papers and can't wait for the chance to play again!

Thanks for looking,

Amanda
