Love This with Heidi Swapp Pineapple Crush by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have the Heidi Swapp Pineapple Crush collection to play with.
It's a fun, beachy collection but today I have used the more general patterns, particularly the geometric hexagon patterns on the Good Vibes paper to create my layout:

Love This

For this layout, I wanted the fantastic colours in the Good Vibes paper to be front and centre so have used a single strip of paper then added some strips of black on either side to make the colours in the hexagons really pop.

I've added a little bit of stamping to the left of my page, using a hexagon texture stamp, then added some pink sploshes to tie in with the sploshes on the patterned paper.

I've embellished with a variety of embellishments from my stash including flair badges, rubber charms, stickers & sequins before finishing off with some journaling stickers.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Gorgeous using Simple Stories Lil' Dude by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone!
Today I'm sharing my first page created from the awesome collection
Simple Stories Lil' Dude.
Absolutely love the colours and patterns in this collection!
The photo is of my cheeky great-niece,
who said the collection was only for boys!

As expected for me, this page did start with a Kraft cardstock base,
but only for toughness, I've then covered it with patterned paper.
I love the lime green chevron paper, Boys Rule.
The Bits & Pieces have been used to create the clusters across the page.

I have used both black & white cardstock in the layers of papers.
The photo has been matted with the white
and the final paper layer has been matted with black.
I have fussy cut the speech bubbles from Hear Me Roar
and used foam tape to lift them off the page.
The frame either side of the photo.

I have used the 2 Crafty Polaroid Frame on the photo,
it has been covered with the patterned paper 2x2 Elements.
The Heart Silhouettes have been painted with Barn Door Distress Paint
and given a finishing coat of Dimensional Magic.
The hearts have been backed with patterned paper.
The title 2 Crafty Fine Word 'Gorgeous' has been painted
with Distress Paint and then given a coat of Dimensional Magic.

The journal spot has been fussy cut from the 4x4 Elements paper.
I have cut a tag from patterned paper
and placed it under the journal spot.
The embellishment cluster has been lifted with foam tape
and I have used more elements from the Bits & Pieces pack.
To finish the page, I have highlighted a few elements with faux stitching and a black pen.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting.
Hope you enjoy your weekend
and remember to check back on Monday to see Fiona's next project.

"Cake Makers", by Amanda H

 Hello AAS fans!

Today's page features one of the Paper pack sets from Simple Stories - it is the "Oh, Baby Expecting" pack. Even though it is baby themed - there are still fantastic papers and stickers perfect for many themes. I used them for this page of my daughters baking a cake.

I started with some white cardstock at the back, and then combined different papers from the paper pack. I used the brown wood panel with spots (so cute) as the main paper for the background.

Behind the photos I layered panels of pink and blue checked paper from the range. I also repeated white cardstock and wood design papers in this.

Have you seen the new range of Puffy alphabet stickers from Pinkfresh Studios? Such versatile colours and letters and totally perfect for creating your own titles, as I did in this page.

The last thing I did to finish the page, was to create 3 small sticker clusters. Every Simple Stories paper set comes with a pack of coordinating stickers. I was able to find balloons, clouds, flowers, hearts and cupcakes - all that matched my page.

Excited to share this "sweet" page today! Thanks for looking!

Simple & Sweet with Pinkfresh Studios Simple & Sweet by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

Back again this week with another layout created using Pink Fresh Studios Simple & Sweet collection.

Simple & Sweet
For this layout I have only used 1 sheet of patterned paper - Fresh Air, and have cut out the different tickets and layered them around my photos. I have fussy cut the lemon half from one of the tickets and tucked that under my page.

To the tickets I have added some embellishments in the form of puffy stickers and epoxy badges - both part of the Simple & Sweet collection.
I've finished off with some enamel dots and used the puffy stickers for my title.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

This Boy using Simple Stories Travel Notes by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone and happy Friday to you all.
Today I am sharing a page created using Simple Stories Travel Notes.
The colours are gorgeous and the patterned papers were so easy to use on a non-travel page.
The photo is of a much younger Mr 14 with his beautiful brown eyes.

I have started the layout using the patterned paper Go See Do as the base.
I love the grid and diagonal lines in the background.
Once I had worked out the basic design of my page, I gathered a few Distress Oxides
in the following colours Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade and Broken China.
Using glad wrap and water, I've applied the oxides in layers on either side of the photo.
I've removed the excess Oxides using paper towel.

The paper layers have been added once the background had dried.
I have used cardboard and the 2 Crafty Filmstrip to create dimensionin the layers.
The Filmstrip has been backed with patterned paper and painted black with Distress Ink.
I've used a black gel pen to doodle some faux stitching lines in.

The 2 Crafty Mini Camera has been painted with Barn Doss Distress paint
and lifted with foam tape.

The 2 Crafty title This Boy has been painted black.
Once dried, I have randomly outlined parts of the letters with a white Sharpie Pen.

The 2 Crafty Triangle Clusters were a perfect base for the quote to sit on.
They were painted black and the 2 Crafty quote was cut into 3 parts
and painted with Tumbled Glass Distress Paint.
I have then doodled more faux stitching inside the triangles.

I love the direction the triangles give the page
and how well they tie in with the direction in the papers.

The final touches to the page were some white splashes with the Sharpie Pen
and some black stamping using the Kaisercraft Tiny Dots Texture Stamp.
The Cardstock Sticker sheet provided the hearts and the tab.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting the blog today.
I hope you've been inspired to create.
Hope you have a great weekend
and please pop back on Monday for Fiona's next project.

"Family forever" by Amanda H, with Bo Bunny Little Wonders collection

Hi all,
And welcome to August!
Today I am using a new range available in store now - Little Wonders by Bo Bunny.
There are SO many cute elements in this range! However, what I love even more are the blues and neutrals - perfect colours for holiday and family photos.
My page focuses on this today, although coming soon will be a page using the cute animals!

The page uses two papers in the collection, one as the background and one for the left hand panel. I used machine stitching on this panel too.

I then used die cuts from the Ephemera pack to create interest around the page.

Firstly I used the die cut triangles from this pack to create a banner. I machine stitched this and layered the title on top. The title is a 2 Crafty word, which I have painted and coated with dimensional magic.

I also used some 2 Crafty triangle clusters, inked dark blue in this cluster.

More die cuts, with trees and arrows in the left hand corner.

The final touch was some little bundles of thread, and some sticker words from a CVS sticker pack.
A simple page, but made perfect by these great colours in the collection! Thanks for looking today!

Beautiful with Pink Fresh Studio Simple & Sweet by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This month I have a couple of layouts to share with the gorgeous new colection by Pink Fresh Studio - Simple & Sweet.  Great fresh, citrus and pink colour palette.

Beautiful

I've started off with some white cardstock and used yellow and pink paints watered down to create my background using the plastic bag techinque, then I have added a few splatters of paint. Once dry I have added some stamping in yellow to give some extra definition to the background.

For my paper layers I have layered my different patterned papers out in a fan design across the page, and then added some stickers underneath for added depth before adding my embellishment clusters - epoxy badges and puffy stickers from Pinkfresh, veneer by Cocoa Vanilla Studio, flowers by Kaisercraft and a Flutterby designs flair.

The puffy stickers are super cute and add perfect dimension!

I've finished my layout with a couple of enamel dots and a wood veneer title from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Dream a little dream using Kaisercraft Hide & Seek by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all.
I just can't stop creating with the gorgeous collection,
Kaisercraft Hide & Seek!
This would be one of my all time favourite collections from Kaisercraft.
Today I am sharing a page featuring my great niece,
a very girly design, but loving it.

I've started the page with patterned paper this week.
The white text on a grey background was a perfect base to build on.
I have then layered the oinks, green and gold papers under the colourful photo.
The photo has been matted with black cardstock to define it on top of the paper layers.

I have used some of the Collectables to build the embellishment clusters.
With lots of hand cut elements from the patterned papers.
Using a black gel pen, I have outlined most of the paper layers
and a few of the words and wood veneer leaves.

The 2 Crafty Delicate Butterflies have been painted with
Picket Fence Distress Paint and Worn Lipstick.
I have used both butterflies to frame the photo
and form the centre piece of the clusters.
Most elements have been lifted with foam tape to give the page more dimension..

The wooden leaves and bunny are super cute,
Apart from the pen outline on the leaves, I have left the veneer natural as
the colour highlights the gold in the papers.

The 2 Crafty title Dream a little dream was covered with
Black Soot Distress Paint.
Once the paint had dried, I have outlined the letters with a white pen.
Love the pop the outline has given the title.

That's my page for this week.
Have a great weekend with plenty of crafting.
Join us again on Monday for Fiona's next project.
