Squeeze the Day, by Amanda H

Hello everyone....

Here's a page of my middle daughter squeezing some fun into the last days of warmth and sunshine before it got cold! And the Hello Summer collection by Simple Stories was a perfect match to these photos!

I started with some random triangles cut from some of the patterned papers in the collection : 3x4 Elements , Catching Rays , and Peace, Love & Pineapple. With a bit of clever cutting and some puzzle piecing I was able to have them fan out from the centre. I inked all the edges of the paper triangles with black ink and stuck them to a sheet of White cardstock.

Before I added my photos and embellishments, I finished the background by adding some splatters, by tapping colour from the spray wands from Colour Blast - Colour Shimmer Spray - Envy and Colour Blast - Colour Spray - Roadbase.

I mounted the two photos onto black cardstock and placed them in a line with a 3x4" card cut from the  3x4 Elements paper.

Then using the beautiful and bright stickers from the Hello Summer Combo Cardstock Sticker Sheet, I was able to combine florals and word phrase stickers to form the clusters and extra detail to the page. 

I also scattered some Bella Blvd - Puffy Hearts - Oreo Black and MME - Wander Enamel Dots in the clusters as a finishing touch with a little dimension!

Hello everyone
This week I'm creating with the beautiful Alice in Wonderland collection by Echo Park.  Had to have this one as soon as I saw, love Alice in Wonderland and I have a few suitable photos. 
Dreams

This page started with this quote and some small printed photos, the design then came along and I added some small background details to break up the white cardstock. 

This beautiful 2Crafty Butterfly Flourish was the perfect embellishment, I have painted it pink with Dylusions Paints, then added some dimensional magic to the butterfly itself and a sprinkle glitter.  I then added some small roses and wire flourishes. 

Stickers & Chipboard embellishments are both from the collection, perfect little pieces to add those extra details.

This Face using Echo Park Paper Co Happy Birthday Boy by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone. Today I'm sharing a page created using  Echo Park Paper Co Happy Birthday Boy A cool collection with bright primary colours. The photo was taken of Mr 14 at last year's birthday.  

I have created the background effect using Distress Ink and stencils.

I've used the primary colour red, blue and yellow 

and the stencils were either numbers or confetti shapes.

The 6x6 Crafters Workshop Template - Mini Distressed Details was perfect.

 

I have matted the photo with black cardstock and 

then layered the patterned papers under the photo.

I've hand cut a few elements from the 3x4 journalling sheet

and popped them on foam tape.

More hand cutting from the 4x4 Journaling Cards and Gifts Galore paper.

Foam tape helped to give the presents dimensions.

The 2 Crafty title This face makes my heart smile 

has been covered with black ink.

The Element sticker sheet provided some more confetti pieces to decorate the page.

The 2 Crafty Geometric Arrows are new chipboard pieces.

Covered with black ink as well.

"Oh Happy Day", by Amanda using Kaisercraft "Fleur"

Hi everyone,   There was an intriguing Kaisercraft collection to hit the store last month - "Fleur" by Kaisercraft. Amazing rich blacks, teamed with forest green and pink and golds. Such an interesting colour scheme - yet perfect for the photo I chose - a lovely family photo set in a bush background, with the girls in lovely pink dresses! Perfect colour match.   Here is my page....   But I had to share it on this angle, so you can see the gold foil on the "Oh Happy Day", which I used as a title card.     I started with the glorious Happy Days paper as my background. I love this textured wood grain  pattern on this black paper and I think I could use it on many pages!   I cut out the cards from the You are loved Speciality paper. These had lovely sentiments and beautiful gold foiling. I used one card for the title and another to mount my photo on. Then I stacked this onto a few more paper layers.   To finish the page I used diecuts from the collection and some other embellishments from my AAS stash.       To the left of the photo block. I combined and layered many of the flower and leaf die cuts, using a few dots of foam tape for dimension. I added the "This was amazing" pink arrow die cut and some loose black thread. Lastly I added a black puffy Bella Blvd heart, a My Minds Eye pink puffy circle and a Simple Stories chipboard circle (both bits found in my stash!)     In the right corner of the photo block, I used more flower and leaf diecuts, again with some foam tape. I repeated more of the same elements as in the last cluster:  loose black thread, a black puffy Bella Blvd heart, a My Minds Eye pink puffy circle and a Simple Stories chipboard circle. I also added a black Kaisercraft Paper Bloom.   You can also see here, that I used a strip from the base of one of the papers (the green strip with XO's on it) and ran this across the page. I am Amazing with Simple Stories I Am by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Welcome to winter! Perfect scrapping weather, I hope you get some time to create.  This week's layout has been created with the truly stunning "I Am" collection by Simple Stories. 
I am Amazing

 For this layout I wanted to focus on my photo so have place it front and centre. I have used the words paper as my background - love the rose gold highlighted words. 
I've dug out my old border punches for this page, to add a little detail to the plainer yellow paper that divides the floral strip from the background. 

These stunning flowers are perfect embellishments, lots of colours and they are beautiful! I've also embellished my layout with the Simple Stories I Am chipboard stickers, cute butterflies and lots of phrases and bits & pieces to compliment the collection.

This is the Good Life using Kaisercraft Memory Lane by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone and hello winter!. The first Friday of a new month and I'm still wondering where May went? This week I am still playing with the Kaisercraft collection Memory Lane. I love this gorgeous colour combination, so soft and simple. The photo is of a much smaller Mr now 14, at a rare moment of rest. Way too cute not to capture.

Base cardstock is the usual Bazzill Kraft.

Then using a star stencil, I have randomly applied 

Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink as my first layer.

Once the ink was dry, I have stuck down the first paper layer,

Kaisercraft Memory Lane Morning Frost.

I have used the same stencil for a layer of gold paint,

applying it both to the cardstock and paper.

The next stage was building the paper layers.

All the edges of patterned paper have been ink with charcoal ink.

Then I've pulled out a few dies and got busy creating a story.

I figured with Mr 14 being fast asleep,

I would build more layers with stars,clouds and a 'Moon'

Loads of foam tape used on the embellishments to create depth on the page.

The photo has been matted with Black Bazzill Cardstock

and then mounted on some scrap cardboard.

I've included a layer of pattern acetate for an extra shine.

The Kaisercraft Memory Lane Collectables added those perfect finishing touches.

I used the 2 Crafty Polaroid Frame to draw the eyes to my sleeping prince, 

the frame has been covered with patterned paper Kaisercraft Memory Lane Jade Jewel.

The 2 Crafty title This is the Good Life was given a base coat of heavy gesso.

It is a rough coat, giving the chipboard a rough texture.

Once the gesso had dried, I've randomly swiped the title with charcoal ink

The final layer on the title is some stamping using gold ink 

and a background stamp.

Hello AAS fans!   Wow - we are at the end of May - so here is my last page share for the month.  Today, I combined the wood grain paper from the Kaisercraft Memory Lane Collection   with the delightful florals in the Carta Bella Flora No 2 Collection.  They joined beautifully with some 2 Crafty Chipboard and Colour Blast!  

I started with the lovely Kaisercraft wood grain paper (I cannot resist these wood grain papers!). Such a classic yet interesting background for any page! For this page I added some interest in two ways: 1. with some 2 Crafty Chipboard and 2. with some Colour Blast.

For the chipboard - I glued some pieces of  2 Crafty Mini Hexagon Clumps directly to the background and then gave them a light coat of Gesso.

Next I used some Colour Blast Colour Paste - this time grabbing the tub of Bling - because everything looks better with gold! I spread this paste through this awesome floral stencil using a metal palette knife. Next I made some gold splatters around the page with Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Bling.

Here is a close up of some of this background detail:

Now let's take a look at the other clusters and finishing touches.

 

Throughout the page, I created a clusters using loads of stickers from the Carta Bella Sticker Sheet. Florals, circles, banners and words - lots of great stickers to add interest.

In the bottom right corner, I also included a blue Green Tara Tea Rose, which I gave a spray of Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Bling for some sparkle! I also inked green some lovely 2 Crafty Tiny Leaf Stems and tucked these amongst the clusters.

For the title, I used the "hello" sticker from the Carta Bella Sticker Sheet,

layered on the stencilling, with some more stickers and chipboard.

Life is Sweet with Fancy Pants "The Bright Side" by Fiona Johnstone

 Hello Everyone
So excited about this collection I am creating with this week, Fancy Pants The Bright Side - aptly named as you can see with all these lovely bright, fun colours and supercool embellishments.
Life is Sweet

Yellow is one of my favourite colours, especially to scrap with and this cool Look on the Bright Side paper made a perfect background choice. I softened it slightly by matting onto some white cardstock and adding a black penned border. 

Ephemera packs are one of my most favourite embellishments - you get so many pieces in the packets and they are fantastic for adding co-ordinated embellishing to your page.  I really love the variety in this particular pack, especially the playing card and the die-cut leaves. 

I've added a couple of small clusters to complete my larger cluster and finish off the page, all created with the ephemera pack!
