Another sunshine filled layout today, using Crate Paper Oasis. Love the colours and patterns in this range.

Love this palm frond background paper, so tropical! I have layered up lots of the different patterned papers from this collection, using some of the more neutral papers to offset the busy palm background. 

  Cute embellishments compliment the layout - I've used a pineapple sticker from the crate collection, a Cocoa Vanilla Studio flair and a sticker from my stash.   

Cute floral suitcase from the Oasis collection and my title uses thickers and I have cut a 2Crafty chipboard title to just have the word sunshine, which I have inked in pink. 

A pretty tropical flower to complete the page.

Good Times using Photo Play Freestyle by Kerryn Fry

Good morning all! I'm back today with another page featuring Photo Play Freestyle. Love this collection, so perfect for a snow trip photos. Master 13 trying to concur the slopes I have started with a sheet of Kraft Cardstock as the base. The background effect is very simple for this page, using a few different snowflake stamps  and Picket Fence Distress Ink, I have stamped both the left and right side. 

I have used the Kaisercraft Decorative Snowflake Die and a sizzix snowflake die to 

cut out snowflakes using white cardstock and a thin piece of darker cardboard.

The snow flakes have been decorated with Kaisercraft Rhinestones and Stickles glitter

and then randomly placed on the page

The 2 Crafty Line Word Good Times makes a great title.

The chipboard line word was covered first with white and blue ink to give it a good covereage.

I have then decorated the title with Diamond and Blue Stickles fir a little sparkle.

The journal strips are snowboards that I have fussy cut from the patterned paper 'Jason Murphy'.

I have used a few elements from the die cut pack and cut some from patterned paper 

to create embellishment clusters in each corner of the photos.

They have been mounted on foam tape to give the page a bit more depth.

"Iconic" using Prima's St Tropez Collectionby Amanda Hartmann

Hi everyone!   Welcome to September and more inspiration from myself and the AAS team.   Today I go back to the Prima "St Tropez" collection.  Although it is designed as a beach/ocean themed collection, as shown in a previous  blog post, today I show how versatile it is for other themes.   Here is my page:  

I started with a Kraft cardstock background, and layered two main papers from the St Tropez range: Plage de la Bouillabaisse and Port of St. Tropez.

For the photo, I mounted it on Black cardstock, then used the packaging from the Prima - St. Tropez Flowers - Isla Marina. Prima packaging is always awesome to add to a page!

I also tucked some pieces of the paper (with map print) behind the photo, taken from the Pampelonne paper.

On either side of the photo, I layered some Tim Holtz Tissue paper with some Prima flowers from the St Tropez range, 2Crafty chipboard Foliage set 1 (I embossed and then cut the foliage elements apart to use on the page) and Kaisercraft wood veneer houses (inked black). Some black thread and splatters of black colour finish the effect.

 

 I created the title, using black lettering from the Simple Stories Love and Adore collection.

Good Times with Pink Paislee Summer Lights by Fiona Johnstone

YAY Spring Days are here!  To celebrate the warmer weather this month I have a collection of summery layouts!  The first one for the month
Good Times

  I just adore this collection, so summery and fun! I have used it to scrap some of my holiday snaps from Hawaii - the colours are just amazing and this background piece is one of my favourites.    The co-ordinating embellishment stickers are perfect for layering! I've combined these stickers with the paper heart that I have fussy cut from Paper #12. I've then added some other co-ordinating embellishments.    

  I've balanced out this side with a doily, a flair and a resin flower.  

  I love my title, I have used a two toned effect with inks on my 2Crafty title. The inks are versacolors in Orchid and Amethyst.

Make a Difference using Photo Play Freestyle by Kerryn Fry

Hello all and welcome to the blog. I can't believe it's actually the first day of Spring! Today I'm here to share my first project for September. The collection featured is the amazing, totally boy collection Photo Play Freestyle. Now it's been a little while since I've done one of these projects, but I've gone a little crazy this week and created a double page layout.  

I've decorated the background using my favourite method.
Three different colour Distress Inks and three different stencils
I've used hexagons from Crafter's Workshop Template to match the soccer ball.
Some of the hexagons have been doodled with white pen.
I've added splotches for the dirt and the arrows for the movement.
2 Crafty Splat Puddles were the perfect compliment to the stenciling,
they have been covered with brown ink and sealed with Glossy Accents.

I've used the 2 Crafty Star as a frame on the group photo.
The frame has been painted it with Distress Paint and
then doodled faux stitching with a white pen.
The stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet were a great addition to this page,
I have backed the word 'amazing' with black cardstock to help it pop.

Nothing beats the 2 Crafty Chevron Bits on any page.
They've been painted and doodled with black pen.

The title 2 Crafty Make a Difference has been covered with Distress Paint.
I have finished it off with Glossy Accents.

Hello again,   We have made it to the end of August! The year is going fast but there is still plenty of inspiration from the team coming your way from now until the end of the year!   Today I bring you a page using Kaisercraft Indigo Skies. I did not get this range when it was first released, but recently I was drawn to it's prettiness (perfect for my girls) but also the lovely blue tones (& the non-pink factor!).   Here is my page!  

I started with two base papers in the range: Shibori and Midnight. I mounted the two photos in Midnight, before placing this sheet at the back, with the subtle white and grey tones of Shibori on top. I got really lucky when I saw the paper strip quote at the bottom of the Shibori paper. "Start each day with a grateful heart & stay true to yourself" - so perfect for first day of school photos! I stuck along the bottom of the layout as a feature.

Of course, the main focus on this page is the butterflies! As soon as I saw the Chambray paper, I knew I needed to fussy cut some butterflies! I cut 5 butterflies and stuck them angled up the page, like they are flying away. To add to this effect, I machine stitches through the butterflies, and used foam tape to add dimensions to their wings.

The final feature you may notice on this background is the splatters and painting. I used Tim Holtz - Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Faded Jeans by pressing some ink on a stamp block, adding water and using the watered ink to splatter and also to paint the outer edges of the paper. I also added some subtle splatters of Colour Blast Shimmer Spray in Snow White to this.

Let's take a close look at the butterflies, and what other embellishments I have used.

 

For the title, I used Summer Light Thickers, with some strips of washi tape underneath it.

I used some 2Crafty Hearts, which I firstly inked using the Tim Holtz - Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Faded Jeans, before embossing. To emboss, I used Colour Blast Embossing Powder in Snow White, and when you emboss with this over the blue ink, it made them shiny and glittery!

The extra stickers I added to the page include: Bella Blvd Puffy Hearts and Stars, as well as the round Puffy sticker from the St Tropez Puffy Sticker set.

Wild with Echo Park Jungle Safari by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
Finishing off the month with a fun page created using Echo Parks Jungle Safari.

I love the timber background on this paper, and have teamed it up with greens, oranges and yellows to create a jungle feel. I love how well it all goes together.  

  My embellishments co-ordinate with the natural timber background, using kraft and wood veneer to create this effect, with a pop of colour from this stunning yellow flower.

A close-up of some of the wood veneer - I've used these from a number of different collections; Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Wild at Heart for the title. I've finished the layout with a little more colour using the ever versatile enamel dots.

Captured Moments using Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe by Kerryn Fry

Happy Friday everyone! Kerryn here with another project to share. Today's page has been created using the collection Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe. This is a wonderful masculine collection with a soft muted palette that worked perfectly with these photos of my boys. I have randomly applied three Distress Inks, Hickory Smoke, Evergreen Bough and  Chipped Sapphire, to the Kraft cardstock through a Crafter's Workshop Templates  and Tim Holtz Layering Stencil. It gives the background a little colour without dominating. The 2 Crafty Kite has been painted with Distress Paint  and I have added faux stitching with a black pen. All of the 2 Crafty chipboard has been painted with metallic paint. The 2 Crafty Fishing Net Bits I have also added some Glossy Accents for a watery finish. I stole a few splashes from the 2 Crafty Splat Puddles to add to the page. They were painted and then given a good coat of Glossy Accents.

The Kaisercraft wooden shapes have been left with the natural finish to blend with the colours.

I have hand cut a few pieces from the Clippers paper, the quote, ticket 

and journaling spot work perfectly on the page.

The touches of black cardstock give a great pop against the muted colours.
