"Dinosaurs Rule" by Kerryn Fry

Good morning everyone, welcome to the AAS blog today.

It's Kerryn again sharing my latest project.

Shock, horror I've gone the whole hog and created a double page!
What is a girl to do when there are so many good photos from one adventure.
This page was also greatly inspired by the cool collections Dino Friends
and Jungle Safari both from Echo Park Paper Co.

A fabulous match of the colours in both ranges, it made it easy to combine them.
2 Crafty Dinosaurs where the perfect addition to my project and I had plenty of fun
colouring each creature with Distress Paints and then coating them with Dimensional Magic.
Not a paint brush in sight!

Lots of fussy cutting from the great patterns in both collections,
words, eggs, tiny dinosaurs and plants all come in handy to fill parts of the page.

Add some foam tape for a pop of dimension and layers of stencilling
using Distress Inks and Crafters Templates.

Thanks for visiting the blog today,
stay tuned Fiona will be back on Monday with more of her awesome creativity.

"Enjoy" by Amanda

Hi all,

I'm back again for another share this wonderful Wednesday.

Today we go with a bright page using some Fancy Pants paper, from the Joy Parade collection.

With these bright and fun papers, I did bring in some white cardstock, for the background and to mount around the photo and papers. I used the different patterns and colours of the Joy Parade papers, in strips and blocks, to build up layers behind the photo.

Another focal point of the page is the awesome 2Crafty Handdrawn Heart, used to frame the photo, which I have inked black and added a coat of Dimensional Magic to.

Here in the close ups, you will see some of the cute little finishes I added to complete the page.

Firstly I used the Design Puffy Stickers, also from the Fancy Pants Joy Parade collection - this includes the "ENJOY" title, some of the hearts and triangles. I also added some Simple Stories stickers and a flower from a Cocoa Vanilla Studio pack.

I hope you "enjoyed" this page!!!!!
 Thanks for looking today.

Amanda

Today & Everyday with Crate Paper Oasis by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

So excited to be working alongside Amanda and Kerryn this term. Their first layouts have been fabulous. It's my turn to inspire you today and every Monday from now on.

Today & Everyday

I just love the big palm leaf  die-cut from Kaisercraft and knew I wanted it to be a focus of my layout. Plus it teams up perfectly with the tropical prints in Crate Papers Oasis collection! I've kept the background clean, with the focus on the palm leaf, then layered my papers, inlcuding a layer of gauze for some texture

I've used 2Crafty's Today and Everyday title on my layout and coloured it with a mix of purple and pink gelatos, to match the tones in the patterned paper.

I've added some cute little summery embellishments from a few collections to finish off my page.

Thanks for stopping by
till next week
Fiona

'This Face' by Kerryn

Well hello out there, happy Friday to you all.

It's been a week of hellos and goodbyes here at All About Scrapbooks.

My name is Kerryn Fry and I am thrilled to be a part of the All About Scrapbooks team.
Every Friday morning you can find me here sharing my latest creation and generally hanging out.
I will feature some of the awesome products found in store
and hopefully give you plenty of ideas to try.

I'm predominately a masculine scrapbooker, but the occasional girly piece will pop up.
I'm learning a little mixed media & art journaling and I have a major addiction to chipboard.
Really looking forward to inspiring you all with my work
and sharing tips and tricks along the way.

So for my first reveal I thought I would start with what I know best.
Yes it is all about the boy of mine.

There is no doubt that the colours in the collection I chose
Jillibean Soup 'Hardy Hodgepodge' were the attraction for me.
They were perfect to highlight the happy and bright photo that I was using.
Kraft cardstock is the base and I have added a background effect using a
Crafter's Template, Distress Ink and a gold gel pen to creat some rays of sunshine.

The matching Pea Pod Parts in the collection made embellishing the page so easy.
I've doodled in random places with a black pen, added some dimension using
plenty of foam and you will hopefully spot the touches of diamond Stickles

The title, of course, is chipboard.
2 Crafty all the way This face makes my heart smile
It was gessoed, embossed with a script stamp and then painted using metallic paint.
I decided to split the title into two pieces to balance my page.
A nice and simple page that is bright and cheery with plenty of lift.

Thanks for visiting today, see you next week.

"A moment captured" by Amanda

Hi to our All About Scrapbook fans!

If you have joined me today, I would like to say hi and thank you!

This is my first day on the team here and I am nervous and excited!
My name is Amanda Hartmann, and I feel so completely lucky to be able to create
for the next 6 months with all the wonderful and amazing products in the All About
Scrapbooks store. I hope along the way, I get to know some of you in this creative
little community and that I can inspire you to create pages to tell the stories of your life.

I'll be here every Wednesday, hopefully with something new to show you each week!
I have been scrapbooking for a long time now. I love seeing how things have changed in
the industry but one thing that will never change is our love for pretty papers. And luckily
we can get that in spades at All About Scrapbooks!
So let's kick off my first share for March with this simple and vintage page.

My inspiration for this page started with the beautiful 2 Crafty Frame Doilies. After I inked them, I cut some patterned papers to fit within the frames. I chose the subtle greys, teals and browns from some Pink Paislee and Crate Paper patterned papers. I repeated the circle and scalloped circles by punching a few shapes with my good old shape punches.
I wanted to keep the background to these papers and frames simple, so I went with a Kraft Cardstock background, perfect for vintage layouts and old black and white photos. I did some stamping with a Kaisercraft texture stamp, the subtle grid patterned added just a little interest to the Kraft background.
A few strips of paper along the bottom and I am ready to embellish! I did ink the edges of all my papers and I love the way this simple technique adds definition to the paper on the page.
If there is one thing you will get to know about me, it is that my favourite part of any page is in the little details I put into finishing. I love finishing, I love embellishing, I love diving into my stash to find the perfect little item to finish a page.
You will see some of these in these close ups:

I embossed a 2Crafty Elegant Flourish and used this as a focal point of the page.
I clustered sequins from my stash and Cocoa Vanilla Studio resin from the
Love Always Bits and Pieces bag, along the flourish.

I also embossed this perfect 2Crafty chipboard word as my title.

I also embossed some old charms from my stash to include in these little clusters.
I do love these little sticker words from the Cocoa Vanilla Sticker sheet, and you will
see them scattered on this page - they are great little finishers! And always add
Cocoa Vanilla enamel dots to clusters too!

Okay, that's it from me! Thanks for looking today! See you next week.

You are my Moon and all my Stars layout by Rachel Lowe: Last DT Share.

Today will be he last layout I have to share with you.
My DT term has come to an end and you will have new DT members to inspire you.
I joined the All About Scrapbooks team in October 2015 and I have enjoyed every moment.
I have loved the challenge of creating weekly, I have been spoilt with all the wonderful products in store to work with and working with such wonderful ladies as Vanessa, Fiona and Tammy!
I would like to thank Vanessa for taking me on and believing my work was good enough to be show cased as a design team member. It has opened many other doors for me and my work.
I thank you for all your likes and wonderful comments and I will still be around on social media scrapping and designing.
So today I have a very soft and pretty layout for you using the gorgeous Kaisercraft PS I Love You collection again.
I have used the specialty paper but I cut out the frame removing the middle and backed on the pink polka dot paper as it suited my theme more and contrasted better.

As soon as I saw the large flower blooms I knew I had to fussy cut them.
I have used two sheets of the I Love You paper to fussy cut enough roses to fill my frame. I worked from the left lower corner of the frame and layered. I have turned up the edges of the roses to give them a more realistic look (nothing worse than flat looking florals/roses).

I then chose a sentiment card from the die cut pack the suited my photo and tucked it under my photo slightly over lapping the frame.

I then added to hearts layering them and finishing off with a small white enamel dot.

I added a sentiment sticker tucking slightly under the last rose.

I have added a 2crafty Chipboard bird, painted in antique white.

I then, as last week added some small butterflies randomly over the page.

A simple layout quick to put together if you were scrap lifting but the frame and
roses make it a beautiful keeps sake.

So I will sign off for the last time.
Its been fun!

Thank you for your stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Tam's final share for All About Scrapbooks

Good morning everyone

Well I write this post with a little sadness.
You see this is my last post as part of the All About Scrapbooks Design Team.

I have absolutely LOVED my time sharing with you each week.

All About Scrapbooks always has the latest and greatest product so creating with these each week was something I loved and looked forward to each week.
I'd like to thank Vanessa for giving me this opportunity - for believing in me.
It's been a real privilege.

Beginning in March is a new Design Team, and I know they will bring you lots of wonderful inspiration.  I'll definitely be popping back to get my creative juices flowing.

Anyway, let's have a look at my final layout!

This one was created using Simple Stories Love & Adore collection.

I was completely inspired by this one piece of paper!

Many of you know that I love adding big swipes of paint on my layouts.

But I know to some of you, it is Scary!
So this paper has done it for you!!!!
I love it when companies create these cool artsy papers.

I just added some embellishments - some I fussy cut from paper, some are stickers and some of them are Die Cuts.

I also added some 2Crafty Chipboard for the title, and bordered the layout with a contrast paper and pretty much that was it!!

So fun and so easy!

Some of you know that I document our everyday stories through Project Life.

Using this gorgeous range, I have created a weekly spread.

Here's the left side:

 And here's the right:

Love the colours!!

Well that's it for me.

Thankyou to you all for all your lovely comments during my time on the All About Scrapbooks team.

Love with Simple Stories Posh by Fiona

Hello

This is my last post for this month but I will be returning next month on a new day with the new Design Team. I just want to say to say thank you to Tammy & Rachel for all their inspiration over the last 17 months, I have enjoyed working with you both!

Today I have another layout created using Simple Stories Posh Collection:

LOVE

I adore this bold stripe pattern, such a perfect base, but I have softened it down with the floral corners and added some gorgeous peach and mint paper layers to create my layout. I've used co-ordinating embellishments to make some cute clusters and a little smattering of gelatos to the background.

A close up of some fussy cutting and dimension for the title, taken from one of the PL style paper cards:

PS I Love You Layout by Rachel Lowe:

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I have a layout using the gorgeous PS I Love You collection by Kaisercraft.

This is a very vintage/shabby chic collection.

The soft pinks and roses are just stunning.

In my stash I found this cross stitch frame. These can be easily found in most craft stores and how gorgeous are they to frame a photo!

Firstly I splattered my woodgrain background paper with white colour shine.

I then cut two strips from the pink rose paper and small floral paper and layered over each other.
I then added some sewing.

The die cuts are so pretty (and there are so many in the pack).

I picked out all the roses and then layered around the cross stitch frame until I was happy. I foam taped the upper roses to add height.

I tucked a die cut doily under the upper, left rose.

I added a die cut journal block and before attaching I sewed on the bottom of it. I then added some of the wooden flourishes to the journal block (love and a heart).

I then took my 2Crafty Chipboard title 'happiness is this' and painted it in antique white. When dry I attached to the right of the lower rose bunch.

To finish off I added a CVS flair and then added die cut butterflies randomly over my page.

Below is the full product list for this layout which with a lot of your left overs will help you create the layout I have to show case next week which will be my last for All About Scrapbooks.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful week.

xXx
