Best memories, by Amanda H

Hi everyone!
Thanks for joining me today for my Wednesday share day.
With some stamping and Kaisercraft Antiquities collection, paired with some of the
cool elements from Celebr8, I was able to create this page.

I started with some white and kraft cardstock for the base.
I also used these papers to double mount the photos.

For the main patterned paper, I chose the newspaper print of the Limited Edition paper
from the Antiquities collection.

Using the Studio Light stamp set, I added stamping to the page with black ink. I used hearts and textured lines from the stamp set. For some colour I painted the hearts and elements using mustard and pale blue watercolours. I also added splatters!

Let's look at some close ups for how I finished the page.

For the title, I used the "Best memories" taken from a Celebr8 matt board. This has been layered
with stickers from the Antiquities Sticker Book and the geo-tag arrows from the Celebr8 pack.

In all of these close ups, you will see how I layered the Kaisercraft Antiquities stickers and
Celebr8 matt board elements over the stamping.

I love the natural colours in this layout.
A great way to share these lovely photos with my girls.
Thanks for looking,
Amanda

#SELFIE with Pinkfresh Studio
Just a Little Lovely by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

So happy to have gotten to create with the gorgeous new collection from
Pinkfresh Studio - Just a little Lovely.

#selfie
Love the cool background paper that has this rainbow effect, an easy background to combine with an assortment of paper layers. Lots of colour going on so I have used black and white photos - a couple of selfies.
Lots of little words and quotes on the "Story" paper, I've cut the love out from that paper and added some of the stunning acetate die-cut flowers.
I've also used the cardstock die-cut ephemera to embellish my layout, finishing it off with a 2crafty title and some enamel dots.
Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Superstars using Simple Stories

Good morning everyone!
Today's project is my second page created with the travel collection,
Simple Vintage Traveller by Simple Stories
No travel photos, but the colours in this range worked well with the photo.
The photo is Master 15 hanging out with his Uncle,
both pretending to be super cool.
Another messy background this week, but I am loving it.
Bazzill Kraft Cardstock, add Distress Oxide Ink and Water.
I started with darker colours, Gathered Twig and Faded Jeans.
The easy technique of using plastic packaging,
swipe the ink pad, spray with water and add randomly to the cardstock.
I've made sure to dry each layer to stop it mixing.
I've added Bundled Sage with the same technique.
The next layer to the background was added using
the Crafter's Workshop Template and Antique Linen.
I have applied it to the page with a sponge
and then dried with heat tool.
The final layer on the background has been added using
the Kaisercraft Textured Stamp and Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide.
There is plenty of 2 Crafty on this page!
The larger 2 Crafty Polaroid Frame has been covered patterned paper
I have used it to cover some background people in the photo
and put the focus on the boys.
I have added some doodling with a gold pen.

The die cut leaves had a subtle embossed texture,
I have used the gold pen to highlight the veins of the leaves.

The 2 Crafty Weather Bits have been covered with Distress Paint.
The clouds was painted with Antique Linen
and the sun with Tea Dye.
Once they were dry, I have stamped the sun with the

I have used the 2 Crafty Filmstrip as the base for the title.
It was painted with a mixture of Faded Jeans and Pine Needles Distress Paints.
I have backed the filmstrip with patterned paper.
The 2 Crafty Autumn Leaves were covered with Peeled Paint Distress Paint.
Once the paint had dried, I outlined the veins on the leaves with the gold pen.

The 2 Crafty title Superstar was painted with Gathered Twig Distress Paint.
I have taken the 's' from another title piece.
The final effect on the chipboard was done with gold ink and the Tiny Dot stamp.
The subtitle has been added with alpha stickers from my stash.

That's all for today, hope you have enjoyed the page.
Have a great weekend & stay warm.
Please pop back on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun, by Amanda H

Hi AAS fans!
Girls just wanna have fun, right? Well, our daughter Jessie sure does!

And the papers from the Teen Spirit Girl collection from Echo Park were perfect for
these fun photos of Jessie going to a school dance.

My favourite thing in the range is all the super cute stickers
Such a brilliant way to add some fun to a layout!
Let's take a look at the page and some close ups.

I used two sheets of paper ( Epic buttons and 3x4 journaling cards reverse side)  in the
collection to make horizontal panels on a base of white cardstock.

I cut the journal card 'Girls just want to have fun" from the 3x4 journaling cards paper
and along with 2 photos, mounted them all on more white cardstock.

Then I went to town with those cute Element stickers.

This top cluster combined a flag, some words with a emoji face and smaller stars and hearts.

Rainbows and LOLs alongside the journaling card which I have used for the title.

And more of the same in the button cluster - sweet!

That's it! Such a fun layout! Such a great collection!

Thank you so much for looking...

Dream with Kaisercraft Enchanted by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

This week I have created a layout with the delightful Enchanted collection from Kaisercraft.
Dream

For this page I was inspired by the background paper to create a woodland dream scene and had the perfect photo of my beautiful great niece who is just a few weeks old.  I have fussy cut the corner of the Fairytale paper to add the mushrooms to the left side of the page and added some extra mushrooms from the utopia paper and the ephemera pack.
I fussy cut my photo to create the idea she is sleeping in the woods. I've added leaves & flowers among the mushrooms to add to my woodland scene, finishing with a little quote and using a curio for the title Dream.
Next I have used two gorgeous 2crafty chipboard fairies - I have inked these in the colours of the background paper so they don't detract from my photo but are still clearly visible watching over the baby as she sleeps.
I've finished off the scene by adding some stickles to the stars in the sky to make them shine brighter.

Thanks for stopping by
Till next week

Inseparable using Photo Play Best Dad Ever by Kerryn Fry

Hi Everyone!
Today I am sharing my second page created with
Photo Play Best Dad Ever.
I found this photo in the archives
and thought it suited the theme and colours in this collection perfectly.
The photo was taken in 2005, my man and his 'mini me'

I've started with my favourite Kraft cardstock.
The background has been covered with Distress Oxide Inks,
using Aged Mahogany, Chipped Sapphire, Broken China and Hickory Smoke.
I've used some plastic packaging and water to spread the inks across the page.
Each colour has been dried before layering the next colour.
To finish the effect, I have stamped with Kaisercraft Tiny Dots and white ink
and then splashed with watered down white gesso.

The 2 Crafty Clock Face Frame has been covered with Distress Paint Hickory Smoke.
I've highlighted the roman numbers of the clock with a white gel pen.
Once the clock was glued into place, I have outlined it's edges with the gel pen.

The 2 Crafty Heart Silhouettes have been covered with Aged Mahogany Distress Paint
and then backed with patterned paper.
The larger heart has been mounted with foam tape
and then I have outlined the inner edge with the gel pen.

The words 'father' and 'dad' have been hand cut from GR8 Dad paper.
I've mounted 'father' with foam tape for added dimension.

The chevrons have been punched from black cardstock
and mounted with foam tape

The 2 Crafty title Inseparable was covered with Hickory Smoke Distress Paint
and once dry I have outlined the title with the white gel pen.
I hope you have enjoyed the page this week
and been inspired to craft all weekend.
Thanks for dropping by today
and I hope you can join us again on Monday for Fiona's next page.

Amazing, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,

Welcome to the last day of July!
And today I am sharing a double page of my middle daughter and our dog, Lulu.
I again used the Pink Paislee: Indigo and Ivy collection.
This time I used the soft pinks & greens and mustard & golds in the range.

I started this layout with two sheets of White cardstock.
Then I created a soft mixed media background.
Step one was using white gesso through the Kaisercraft Mini template - Foliage design.
Step two was to create a soft pink water wash effect. I did this using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad in Abandoned Coral which I pressed onto some plastic and mixed with water and painted onto the layout.
Finally, step 3 was to add some gold splatters using Bling Shimmer Spray.

Let's look at more of the page and some close ups to see how I used Indigo and Ivy papers and embellishments.

First side of the layout:

The papers I used are from the 6x6 paper pad. I laid the 6x6 papers to make a panel across the entire double page.

Alongside the left side of the photo, I layered stickers and acetate diecuts and words from the Indigo and Ivy collection.

Second side of the layout:
Here you are see that I mounted the collection of smaller photos in a soft pink paper, also taken from the 6x6 paper pad.

More stickers and diecuts are layered in this cluster.

In this close up, you can see some of the detail of the mixed media background.

Thanks for looking! I was fun to do a double page - it had been a long time! LOL!
