Kaisercraft Sea Breeze - Love This Layout by Rachel Lowe:
Hello everyone, this week I have a layout to share created using the fab collection Sea Breeze by Kaisercraft. I just love the wood grains, turquoise and mint greens with a mix of black and brown contrasts.
I do tend to use white as my base paper in layouts but this wood grain just had to be used with its weathered look.
I adore photos that are not poised and this shot of me with my four children walking hand
in hand in a field at dusk is one of my all time favourites.
Firstly I splattered the wood grain base paper with mint colour shine.
I then painted the 2crafty chipboard butterfly in white and when dried I sprayed lightly
over it in the mint green colour shine so it would tie in with my background.
I cut a diagonal corner and half inch strip from Refresh paper. I then sewed them down.
From the die cut pack I chose a sentiment that would go with my photo and sewed that
down over the already sewn corner.
I have then layered under my photo starting with the darkest green paper to the lightest mint
green. I have also sewn in a random fashion on these paper pieces. Usually I don't ink with
pine cone but felt it suited this more rustic layout.
I always cut off the border strips from each sheet of paper before I start my layouts, most
these days have some form of pattern on them that can be used on your layout. You will see
the heart strip that has been sewn on is from a border strip (you can use these as a form
of washi tape).
Sewing will add extra texture and interest to your layout.
I foam taped the heart sticker over lapping on my photo and then attached the 'smile'
die cut sentiment over the lower right of my photo.

Bella BLVD - Perfectly Precious layout by Rachel Lowe:
Happy Monday everyone.
Today I am sharing a layout created using the oh so gorgeous Sweet Baby Girl collection by Bella BLVD (there is also a boy collection too which is as equally cute).
I pulled my children's photo albums out to find the 'right' photos and reflected how quickly the baby years go and I wish I had taken more photos than I did.
This photo is of my daughter blissfully asleep at her Christening, I had to covert it to black and white as the background was a dark grape colour but I think a black and white photo contrasted beautifully against the pink.
I set about to create a 'sky' with the sleeping moon. I cut from the border strip paper 'perfectly precious' and attached this under the cloud paper (just a wink paper). I then hand cut a paper fringe border strip (I just love paper fringes as they are so pretty) and finished off by sewing to add extra layers/texture. Finally I hand cut some clouds and used foam tape to attach to my created sky.
I matted my photo on the heart paper and then attached with foam tape.
I then chose from the die cut pack the banners, clouds, heart and hippo (the hippo just too cute).

I then painted my 2Crafty chipboard title Gorgeous in white and attached under my photo.
Finally I added a 3/4 inch strip along the bottom of my page.
You will note I have sewn around my matt, at the top of the banners and the bottom page strip.

My World
by Tammy Klingner
Today I'm sharing a layout featuring some papers from one of the last Basic Grey Range
ever created - the B Side.
Oh how I love this range!
Fun, bright colours, with lots of great sayings.
I created a couple of pages with this range a couple of months ago, and I still had
plenty left, so thought I'd have a go at using some more up.
As this range is typically aimed at a tween girl, I decided to throw in an extra challenge
for myself, and create a layout featuring my son. You see this range has some great
yellows and teals, and they were screaming out at me to be used. I dug around and found
grey woodgrain paper from Simple Stories. Perfect, as woodgrain has a masculine feel.
