One last "Capture Life" layout PLUS some Kaisercraft "Mix & Match" - by Linda Eggleton

Hi All
Today I'm back to share one last layout using Echo Park's "Capture Life" well as some of my Kaisercraft DT work using the gorgeous new "Mix & Match" collection that has been really popular!

But first some Echo Park!
This one is a bit multi-coloured, which suits the photos well.
"Let's Rumble"

The background paper with the arrows is one of my fav papers from this collection, so of course it had to be used for the background! I had previously used a piece of it on another layout, which I had cut from the centre of the on this layout, that meant having to cover up the hole that was left!!! No just means that the pieces of paper that I've layered under the photos are a tad bigger than what I'd normally use.

A small cluster of Green Tara flowers...the yellow one I've coloured with my Gelatos to give it a brighter appearance.

And there's those FAB alpha stickers again :)

A few word stickers from the Alpha sticker sheet...and the super cool 2Crafty word circle that I've also coloured with Gelatos after coating in Gesso first.

The banner shaped piece of paper under the photos I've also coloured with my trusty Gelatos. It was originally white with the black chevron arrows...but I felt that the page needed a touch of orange, so I rubbed my orange Gelato over the paper & then used a wet brush to spread the colour.
Just one of the reasons I LOVE my Gelatos...great for altering the colour of just about anything :)
Ok now for some Kaisercraft - Mix & Match
This collection is a FABULOUS mix of red, white, black & kraft...and I'm sure you'll agree that the colours look fantastic together :)
"Pre 20's drinks"
I decided to go with the Kraft coloured paper for my background & it also has that fabo chicken wire print in white. It is the reverse side of the "Lace" paper

I hand cut the chevrons from the "Crosses" paper (again, the B
The chevron's on this paper are red and kraft in colour....I needed the kraft ones to be white, so I painted them in gesso - problem solved :D (I love being able to alter the colour of things if they don't suit what I am wanting on the page!) The chevrons are mounted up on foam tape to give them
height & definition on the page.

I've used pieces from the Collectables pack, Doily & Alpha sticker sheets, some paper blooms....along with some 2Crafty chipboard feathers for my cluster.
And you can see, bits of my journaling along the bottom of the last chevron.
I had wanted to do the journaling in white, but, of course, my white journal pen
did not want to cooperate!

The arrows are also from the Alpha Sticker Sheet, as is the kraft alpha stickers.
I've splashed some red, black & white mists around on the background,
as well as some script stamping.

"New found friend"

Again, I've gone for a kraft coloured background & I've added some template work with modelling paste, and some chevron stamping on top of that. The template is a new release one called "Quarters" - it has 4 different patterns, each taking up a 1/4 of the template :)

I fussy cut one of the butterflies from the "Butterflies" paper (yay, this one isn't the B side!! lol) and added some paper blooms, heart sticker & fabric button to form my cluster.

I've added a few pieces of cream lace in between my paper well as a new printed tape "Black Arrows" which will be released next month!

I've added my trademark strip journaling to tell the story about these 2 meeting
& becoming friends <3

Black Ink Pad IP719
Other: Fabric Button, Modelling Paste
Next is an altered photo frame

The frame was bought from one of the cheap shops, and I made sure that the front surface of it was flat....knowing that I'd be adhering paper to it. I've used the reverse side of the "Confetti" paper, with those fabulous arrows, to cover the front of the frame. I've also splashed some red & white mists randomly over the paper.

I added a pretty cluster to the top left side of the frame....with another butterfly fussy cut from the Butterflies paper, some paper blooms & mini paper blooms, a doily sticker & some diecut leaves using KC red cardstock....and a few buttons.

Across the bottom of the frame I've added one of the cut-off paper strips (it's always worth keeping these!!) along with some hearts from the Doily Sticker sheet mounted on foam tape.

More Fancy Pants Everyday Circus - by Fiona Johnstone

My final share for the month and I have two layouts using Fancy Pants Everyday Circus again.
My first layout today is Inseparable. For this layout I wanted to have a lot of "white" space to show off the starburst pattern on the paper. I've used a small 4 x 4 photo and kept my paper layers close together and I've added some texture with my chipboard background.
The first of my close-ups shows the 2Crafty small Crazy Circle panel, which I have inked in pinecone and bark to  give some contrast and texture to the layout. I've also fussy cut a star from the paper and mounted it as an embellishment.
And a close-up of my title Inseparable. I've inked this title in a complimentary colour and then inked the edges in pinecone and used mounting tape to make it pop a little more. Then I have added some Jillibean soup embellishments to finish off my page.
My second layout for this week is Roll Up

We went to the circus in the last school holidays and the kids had a blast! I thought this range of papers was just perfect to document our visit!!
For this layout I focused on the colours of the Big Top and layered my papers into banners. I chose a plain black background to really make the colours POP!
I've used the matching embellishments from the Everyday Circus collection and a couple more of the Jillibean Soup for this layout, finishing off with some Simple Stories DIY enamel dots.
And finishing off the layout with some journaling:

Echo Park " Capture Life" & Kaisercraft "Outdoor Trail" - By Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone & thanks for popping in for a visit today :)
I have another layout to share using Echo Park's "Capture Life" collection.
And I know I am repeating myself here, but this seriously is a super versatile collection :)
This is my 4th layout....and this one is using teal & yellow tones for a bit of a beachy layout...even though that's not what the layout is about.
"Tossed Salad - on the run"
I've used the gorgeous Damask paper for my background....I love the colour of this & the fabulous damask pattern. No need for any background work with this one :)

I've added some Green Tara & Petaloo flowers, 2Crafty lightbulb, some OA flairs & stickers from the alphabet sticker sheet - including the fun....  to form my main cluster.

And here's a 2nd smaller cluster....and how cute is that fab little typewriter?!?!
It was cut from one of the images on the "Memories" paper and is sitting up on some foam tape :)

I've added a couple of scrap strips of paper with blue tones in under the title to help
break up the yellows.

And as you can see I've layered yellow/golden tones, along with a bit of black & white in under the photos, which mixed with the teal tie in well with the colours of the photos....of silly me eating salad with my hands, out of a plastic bag!.....on the run LOL!!
I also have a few of my Kaisercraft DT project to share using the "Outdoor Trail" collection.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this collection and just love how my layouts have turned out.  This collection would suit any type of outdoor layout - not just camping, fishing etc.
First up is this layout....
"Take a Hike"
I've used the dark wood panelled paper, "Bush" for the background and I've lightened it slightly by adding some dabbed on gesso & some template work using one of the new KC templates - Quarters, which has 4 different patterns on the one stencil!!   There's also some stamping over the top of the textured background work - but it's probably a bit hard to see it here

Here's a bit of a close up of the stencil/background work and the stamping
is a bit more visible here too.

I've layered pieces of PP, Collectables & also paper from the Paper Pad in under my photo.

As well as at the top of the page.

Kaisercraft Products: Outdoor Trail – Bush P1583, Orienteer P1586, Camp Fire P1589, Swag P1590, Paper Pad PP946, Sticker Sheet SS251, Collectables DT803, Seabreeze Alpha Sticker Sheet AS251, Quarters Template T613, Arty Texture Stamp CS879, Grid Texture Stamp CS755, Bark Ink Pad IP724, Vintage Ink Pad IP723, Island Ink Pad IP726, Double Sided Tape T314, Foam Tape T303.
Other: Gesso, Modelling Paste, Twine
Another layout.....
"Along the Selfie Trail"
This time I've used a lighter paper for the background (Frontier) and have added some stamping using KC Chevron well as some of the word stamps in the Outdoor Trail stamp pack.

Again, lots of Collectables & around my cluster, plus in amongst my paper layers & at the top & bottom of the page.

A cluster of blooms & Collectables.
Have you ever noticed that there is ALWAYS the pefect coloured Kaisercraft paper bloom to match the colours in any of their collections??? I love that <3

A few more Collectables pieces layered at the bottom of the page, also with stickers
from the Sticker sheet.

Love those arrows from the Collectables pack!!

And lastly, I have a card to share

There are lots of images in both the papers & Collectables pack that are perfect
for fishing themed projects!
I've added some KC alpha stickers & rhinestones to the card.

Kaisercraft Mix & Match - by Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone
I had a very scrappy weekend this weekend just gone, attending a scrapbook retreat from Friday night till Sunday, where All About Scrapbooks had their shop set up. I managed to scrap 10 layouts which was the target I set for myself - I am not a fast scrapper! I will be sharing most of those over the coming weeks.
This week I have two layouts to share using the new Kaisercraft Mix and Match paper range. This range is just AWESOME! Kraft, red, black and white - so fantastic together!  I loved creating these layouts with this range. It comes with some cool accessories - some kraft tags, a sheet of sticker doilies and an alpha sticker sheet.

First up is my layout, Love You.

I adore how striking this colour combination is, very dramatic with the red and black but softened a bit by the kraft and white. I've used some black and red cardstock to help define the separate papers and add some extra layers.

A couple of close ups of the 2Crafty chipboard title and chevron bits I have used. I have scattered some black sequins in amongst the red and white spots on my background paper. The alpha stickers I have inked around to help them stand out more on the page.
And a close up of the tag - I have embellished the tag with a doily sticker, a sequin and the little butterfly from the alpha sticker sheet.

And my second layout to share this week, XOXO is of me and my puppy Harry, isn't he cute?

My background circles on this layout are a Jillibean Soup placemat that I have cut down to size from 12 x 12. These come in both white and kraft so go perfectly with this range. I've then layered a mix of papers and utlised the cool embellishments before finishing off with some cork shapes, they go great with all the kraft!

And a couple of close-ups: My title using the cool Amy Tangerine foam stickers, some chevrons and a flair button from my stash.

And a close up of the little doily cluster I made with the doily and heart stickers which I have layered on each other.

This is such a striking collection, be sure to pop on over to the store to pick some up before it is all sold out!!

Till next time
