More Vintage Chic & Hello Sunshine - by Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone and welcome to the blog today :)
Can you believe that it's the last day of February & summer today?  The year seems to be whizzing past at a ridiculous speed already!!  I hope it doesn't continue at this rate!
I am back to share my last layout using the gorgeous Heidi Swapp "Vintage Chic" collection, plus I have a few cards using some of the leftovers from my Kaisercraft "Hello Sunshine" kit.
So first up is my layout using Vintage Chic...
"Isn't she lovely"

The background paper I've used is quite different from the rest of the papers in this range....but wow, I love those chevrons, and didn't want to do to much to the page, so that the chevrons could do their thing.  The colours are gorgeous & amazingly still go together so well with the yellow & turquoise colours that are more prominant in this range.

I've kept this page fairly simple, and I've used a larger photo :)

For my cluster I've used some Manor House, Petaloo & Prima flowers....along with a piece of 2Crafty CB - Ornate Buckle that I've first coated in gesso & then coloured with one of my yellow Gelato's

I've inked, distressed & layered my papers, with some having punched rounded corners & also a strip of punched border to help break things up a bit.

Some more 2Crafty - Chevrons.... <3

This is the cluster from a different angle

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here are some super quick, cute fun cards I made using some leftover Hello Sunshine papers with a few of the amazingly cute diecut animals from the Collectables pack.
They had to be used..... they are just too darn cute!!
All 3 are just some quick simple layers of papers with some of the cute animal diecuts & stickers from the sticker sheet - such FUN and the cards are super cute!
That's it from me today, thanks so much for dropping by.
I hope you have been inspired and enjoyed your visit.
Take care & happy Friday :)
More Kaisercraft Now Boarding - by Fiona Johnstone
Hello everyone
Back again today with more Kaisercraft Now Boarding, this time a layout of London's Big Ben and the houses of Parliament. Again I have used one of these awesome papers that have a fabulous mixed media style background already on them for my base paper, then layered more of the papers finishing off with some of the stickers and collectibles.
In the first close-up you can see how I have taken advantage of the pattern and used the bottom right corner as a journaling spot:
A few more embellishments, a tag, some arrows and words all from the sticker sheet. It is such a versatile range with so many products you barely need anything else to create a layout.
Thanks for stopping by!
Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic - by Linda Eggleton
Hi everyone....happy Friday & welcome to the blog today :)
I am back to share another layout using Heidi Swapp's "Vintage Chic" collection,
and my layout is based on the Feb Once Upon a Sketch challenge.
I absolutely adore the colours & patterns in this range,
they are perfect for any type of layout & are such a joy to create with :))))
"Addicted to travel"
(yep, I truly am!)
For this layout, I've backed my layout onto a piece of Kraft CS & then punched
 randomly around the edges of the spotted paper (Beautiful Songs) and trimmed
 down the edges slightly so that the kraft created a border/frame around the outside of the page.
I've created a cluster of Green Tara, Petaloo & Kaisercraft flowers, along with a
 Flutterby flair & 2Crafty chipboard.
 Here you can see the cluster from a different angle...plus some of the
 2Crafty Chevron bits
 And some more 2Crafty chevron bits, newsprint washi tape & more
 Green Tara & Kaisercraft flowers
Brads....I am loving using brads on my pages lately...they really are a
fabulous staple embellishment!  And I've stamped around the brads in places using gesso & a toilet roll and also a smaller cardboard roll (that I can't remember what it's off)....as well as glimmermist in spots.
My title, using more of the alpha stickers from last months kit -  they go so
 perfectly with this collection!
And some journaling....straight onto the background paper
I usually write my journaling out lightly in pencil before going over it with a
 journal pen - that way you can make sure it fits where you want it to, and get an
 idea of how it will look.
And here is an overall view.
Pics were taken from our plane trip last year as we were
coming  in to land at Dubai.
I also have a card to share using this fab collection....
Using leftover pieces that are layered as banners plus some diecut pieces cut with my
Cuttlebug.... with a gorgeous Green Tara azalea on top.
I didn't add a sentiment to this one yet, as it will just be going into my card stash for now &
then when it eventually gets given to someone, I'll add an appropriate sentiment then.
And here is a close up of the layered diecuts & azalea
Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you've been inspired by this gorgeous collection!
Basic Grey Clippings - by Fiona Johnstone
Hello everyone
This week my layout has been created using Basic Greys "Clippings" range combined with some Jillibean soup. The main background paper, Drafting Table has all the cool looking distressed pattern on the left hand side, and this inspired me to follow this distressing throughout the design, so I have layered torn strips of the other Basic Grey papers.
The orange patterned paper was a little plain on it's own, so again taking some inspiration from the background paper, I went with circles. The Jillibean placemat was perfect, except for the colour, so I inked over the placemat then stamped a small dotted pattern:
A small amount of embellishments on the right (including a Flutterby Designs Flair of course!) as this fabulous Dr Seuss quote is a major part of the design:
I've kept the title to two different styles of alpha to make it easily readable, some plain chipboard thickers that I have inked with my worn out pinecone ink and some Jillibean Soup Alphabeans.
Thanks for stopping by!
Kaisercraft "Hello Sunshine" - by Linda Eggleton
 Good morning everyone and welcome!
Today I have 2 layouts to share using Kaisercraft's very colourful "Hello Sunshine" collection.
The colours and graphics on these papers are gorgeous & fun....and would be great for layouts on children, visits to the zoo, or animal theme parks etc....but if you don't have pics such as these to scrap, the reverse side of these papers can be used for any type of layout as you can see from my creations below.  At first I was a bit stumped with what to do with this collection, but I'm pleasantly surprised at the end result and I REALLY enjoyed the process of creating with these fun papers.
"The perfect pav"
Created for the February Scrap Around The World challenge
I've used one of the plain papers for my background with some stencil work, with layers of papers, stickers & pieces from the Collectables pack, choosing pieces with colours that tied in with the colours of the pavlova.
Here I've used one of the border pieces from the collectables pack, some chevron stickers & alpha stickers from both sticker sheets in this collection.
A small cluster of Collectables pieces,  Kaiser & Prima flowers......  a chevron flair button and decorative brads left over from last months Simple Stories - I{heart} Summer kit.
Here is some of the template work using The Crafters Workshop 12x12 Stacked Triangles template (which is available in store - see list of products with link at the end of my post)
I used a sponge and a dabbing effect to try to get some texture into the background work...then splashed a few sprinkles of mists here and there.
More of the template work & another border piece from the Collectables pack popping out at the top of my paper layers.
Those fun chevron stickers again & a few diecuts from the Collectables pack
I LOVE these 2Crafty Chevron bits & can't get enough of them lately - so expect to see them on lots of layouts in the future :).  I've added some texture paste to again get some texture  happening, and then coloured the chevrons by painting them with Dylusions ink spray.
A few more pieces from the Collectables pack - so much value in these packs!!  And as I mentioned before about this collection being great for layouts on children, zoo visits etc etc, there are so many gorgeous & cute little animal diecuts in the pack that would be perfect to add to these type of layouts....plus for birthday cards as well :)
And in case you're wondering....YES the Pavlova was delicious!!
Ok, next layout
"Luna Park"
As you can see....more beautiful, bold colours!  I've used a brighter patterened paper for the background of this one, again choosing papers & embellishments with colours to match with the Luna Park photos.
I cut this yellow piece into a large banner shape for the base of the photos & my title.
There's also a couple of 2Crafty assorted arrows that I've inked in black.
A Flutterby Designs flair button & a die-cut from the Collectables pack.
Some more Collectables diecuts, plus sticker from the Sticker sheet.
And here you can see where I've created my own paper doily, by using the corner punch from one of my "around the page" punch sets to punch around the outer edge of the striped piece that I had previously cut into a circle.
Some strip journaling
And lastly an overall view of the main area of the page.
Thanks so much for visiting today....I hope you have been inspired to create some fun colourful layouts with this collection :)
Until next time....Linda x
Kaisercraft Now Boarding - by Fiona Johnstone
Hello everyone
Very excited about this new Kaisercraft paper range "Now Boarding". Simply perfect for all those overseas holiday photos!
My layout today is View from the Top, a couple of photos taken at the top of the Eiffel Tower, when we were in Paris last year - simply breathtaking views.
I have used the fabulous 2Crafty Eiffel Tower piece to show where our view is from. With this I have simply inked in charcoal so it compliments the patterned paper and the whiteness that is Paris.
Lots of great ephemera in the collectibles pack as usual and I have combined these with another travel range, Basic Greys Carte Postale embellishments, finishing off with a Flutterby Designs  Flair of a map of Paris. I also did a little bit of extra stamping which you can see blending in with the pattern on the background, above the suitcases, and under the Eiffel Tower.
Such a fabulous range, I hope I've inspired you to scrap some of your travel pages.
Till next time
Fiona
Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic - by Linda Eggleton
 Good morning scrappers, and welcome to the AAS blog :)
Today I have a layout to share using Heidi Swapp - Vintage Chic papers.
I absolutely adore the colours & patterns in this range, and have used them to create a layout with pics from our trip to The Great Ocean Road a year or so ago.
My layout is based on the February sketch at Scrap365
"The Greatest View"
I've used one of the plainer papers for my base, with a mixture of more coloured & patterned papers layered behind the photos.
(A full list of product names with links to the AAS store can be found at the bottom of my post)
My cluster with Green Tara & Petaloo flowers....2 Crafty chipboard leaves, that I left raw to help tie in with the colours of the photos & layout, plus a Flutterby Designs flair button - that comes in a pack of 7 with each day of the week on them.
Title is using some leftover alpha stickers from last months kit - Simple Stories "I {heart} summer", with a few Echo Park brads & a little glimpse of some background work.
Some more raw 2 Crafty - chevrons, and Echo Park brads
I've added a torn strip of Prima washi tape to the top & bottom of the layout, and I have journaled along the top of the piece at the bottom of the page.
Here you can see the background work a bit better too....some stencil work using a Prima stencil & some Impasto medium mixed with Trunk Bay glimmermist.  The Impasto Medium is great for mixing with paints, glimmermist etc as the Impasto dries clear, so when you mix it with your paint or glimmermist, there is no fading of the colour like when you mix it with other mediums that dry white.  Plus there's some stamping with my new Kaisercraft "Tiny dot' stamp (which I love!) & some drips & drops of Trunk Bay Glimmermist.
And here is a close up of the main area of the page.
I hope you have been inspired by today's visit :)
Thanks so much for dropping by.
